Your big moments are very much in your control. The Fast Track Leadership Programme is a three year journey that will help you earn your place in the highest levels of management within BT. We give you live, critical projects from the outset with the support to ensure you develop as you go. The programme is designed to give you exposure to senior leaders across a variety of functions helping you build the network, knowledge and experience to choose your final placement.
Induction and the first 18 months
Your induction will give you the chance to meet senior managers from across the business as well as the opportunity to network with your fellow Fast Trackers. You'll walk away with the vision and start to design your personal development plan.
The first three months will give you a comprehensive understanding of the Fast Track Leadership Programme structure and how you’ll take ownership of your own development. There will also be a one-day event to bring together everyone on your phase of the Fast Track Leadership Programme.
Following the induction week, in addition to the development opportunities gained through diverse on-the-job secondments, there will be a number of additional challenges designed to complement your development.
During the first half of the programme you will need to secure your second rotation. You will be encouraged to take an active part in this decision, taking into account your development needs. Rotations can be secured through a combination of personal networking and through roles sourced by the Central Team. Ownership of personal development will be encouraged in addition to formal projects in your line of business.
At the 18 month point your performance and potential will be assessed to determine whether you are to remain on the programme.
Months 18 – 36
After 18 months we would expect you to have joined the BT Talent Pipeline.
The remainder of the programme will see you continuing to play an active role in securing your next role with the support of the Central Team. By this stage you should have sufficient networks to help identify preferred placements and may already be focussing your rotation on your chosen career path.
Reward
Your performance and potential will be assessed every 9 months to ensure that you are receiving the reward and recognition you deserve.
